J.P. Smoketrain, an accomplished and versatile vocalist and guitarist; has aroused much enthusiastic response at many of Honolulu ’s most popular dance clubs, pubs and live music venues. 

 In addition to a Hawai’i entertainment résumé's that includes over twenty years of performances as s soloist and band leader sharing the stage with many of the islands finest entertainers. J. P. Smoketrains’s music career that started well over two decades ago, took him to some of the most demanding mainland shows.

Performances at university/college audiences country clubs, beer pubs and back alley bars, fairgrounds and concert hall opening shows for The Whisperers, Jesse Colin Young, Boz Scaggs, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Buddy Miles and B.B. King just to name a few. 

While performing in a Southern California club “Rock Le gend” Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli heard J.P. Smoketrains’s performance and hired J. P. Smoketrain that evening to perform for their upcoming Wedding reception.

J.P. Smoketrain performs backup vocals on Randy Lorenzo’s (Hoku Awards nominated) cd “I’m Going Home.”
